This has nothing to do with this blog, but you are supposed to have a picture…
Ive been running linux since April, on an old desktop and an even older laptop, I like it, it does all the basic stuff I need to do, Google chrome chugs a bit with lots of tabs open and thunderbird gives up sometimes, but if you are used to doing things from the browser, (Chomebook user alert) its pretty good, Im running Brave at the mo and its nice but as a user experiance not much nicer than Chrome.
So what else, Im trying to learn Vim, because every one said it was faster to use, turns out they mean its faster if you can touch type…
Im trying to learn to type but it hurts my hands and i cant get my thumbs to hit the space bar, but if you want a poorly typed document that only use f and j Im your man.
The Python has ground to a halt, I just cant get into it, its beacause I havent got a use for it, if I had a project that needed It id be ok.
Thats partly why im doing this blog to keep my minimal wordpress skills oiled.
Now Im told I should be trying to learn EMACS, as its realy powerful, I only want to look at reddit, and update websites.
Ahh yes reddit ive got the app on three differnt devices and have some how got three different accounts all with different stuff on them…
Any sucsesses… well i had some luck with pywall
https://github.com/dylanaraps/pywal
A neat little thing that changes your terminal colours to match your wallpaper.
What do i intend to do that I wil never get round to…
Ive got a Rasberry Pi…
Oh yesI thought Id have a go at this;
On the non-tech front Im cooking this weeked, so may find out just how badly you can screw up a lasagne.
